Over 21 million people in Germany have an international history. Nevertheless, their diverse stories were not heard in the German museum landscape for a long time and were relegated to niche programs and special exhibitions.
In the meantime, a change in awareness has been ushered in: diversity and cultural participation are on everyone's lips. But is this a sustained development? In this panel discussion, experts from the museum landscape and migration research will discuss how migration can be transferred to the museum and how true participation in the migration society can be achieved.
The Panel:
- Sandra Vacca (DOMiDLabs/DOMiD)
- Dr. Angela Jannelli (Historisches Museum Frankfurt)
- Dr. Bora Akşen (AK Migration Deutscher Museumsbund, Focke Museum - Bremer Landesmuseum für Kunst und Kulturgeschichte)
- Cem Kaya (Filmmaker)
Chair: Prasanna Oommen
